Theory Classes
All of the
There is plenty of parking on the south side of
the building – the conference rooms are in the lowest level, go down the
stairs – turn to your left. We
will typically be in conference room “B”.
Course outlines and all lecture notes are supplied by the school, but you should bring pencil and notebook to class.
Students taking the ASA Basic Keelboat Sailing (Short Course) will attend the First Theory Session shown on the following schedules. Students taking the ASA Basic Coastal Cruising will attend all three of the theory sessions shown on the scheduler. Theory sessions do not need to be taken in order, but it is better to take the first theory prior to any of the other theory or practical sessions. Practical sessions can start immediately after taking the first theory session.
Victoria Sailing School Basic Coastal Cruising and Coastal Navigation classes meet the requirements for chartering from most bareboat chartering companies.

Students can write their theory exams on any night there is a regularly scheduled theory class. There will be one final exam night on October 16, 2008.
Note: Theory classes are taught on a regular published schedule. On The Water classes are scheduled to fit your needs.
